Job Summary:

We are seeking a Machinist I to join our team. The Machinist I will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials to create parts according to specifications.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proven experience as a Machinist or similar role

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints

• Knowledge of machine shop mathematics

• Ability to use precision tools such as calipers and micrometers

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts

• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece

• Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications

• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines

• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process

• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations at all times
