Machinist, Engineered To Order

Job Summary/Overview

This Position supports Engineered to Order and Sanitary production areas by performing a wide variety of machining tasks. At times, this position will support the Vertical machining area by manufacturing Engineered to Order components and "Build to Order" components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manufacture new components, rework and modify existing components.

• Run and operate the Bridgeport NC mill, Engine Lathe and other saws and drill presses.

• Support Vertical Machining area by manufacturing engineered to order and build to order jobs.

• Partner with engineering department on projects

• Performs quality checks and measure finished parts using hand measurement tools, (micrometers, calipers, plug gauges & profilometers) to determine if they are within tolerance.

• Performs basic PMS and performs 5S in area.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

• A team player with excellent communication skills.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and solid blueprint reading skills.

• Ability to be flexible and adjust priories to reflect changing needs or job demands.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

• Strong machining background with 2 + years machining experience preferred.
