|Responsible for producing precision machined parts by setting up and operating a manual machine or a computer numerical control (CNC) machine with 1-3 axis.|
Essential Job Functions:
Performs Total Preventative Maintenance tests - daily
Prepares and verifies settings by measuring positions, performing first-run part checks, and adjusting settings as required
Uses blueprints to determine proper parts tolerance
Maintains specifications by observing machine processes; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting and replacing worn tools
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member
Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals
Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
Performs other duties as assigned
2 years Machine operator experience
Vocational or technical training preferred
Must pass Machinists I test with 85% accuracy
Proficient with basicmachinistmath skills
Working knowledge of precision measuring tools and print reading required
Working knowledge of basic troubleshooting for machining processes
Understanding of 6S concepts preferred
Must pass background check and drug screen

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Daytime hours are 6a-4:30p Mon-Thurs; some OT on Fridays.
Night shift is 7p-5:30a Mon-Thurs, some OT on Fridays; night shift also offers a shift differential of 10% on top of base pay.
