MACHINE TOOL SERVICE ENGINEER

*Should possess the mechanical ability to disassemble repair and reassemble complex mechanical components. *Need the electrical ability to understand and troubleshoot 3 phase and low voltage electrical circuitry.

*Need to know how to read and interpret electrical schematics and have some electronics training.

*Need to have familiarity with CNC machine tools and understand how the control, servo drives, servo motors, spindle drive, spindle motor, and periphery components operate in conjunction to have a functional machine.

*Need knowledge of how to use the control for maintenance functions to help diagnose problems with the machine.

*Need good communication and interpersonal skills to interface with customers in their facilities.

*Must have a positive friendly attitude, be well groomed, be willing to travel and work at our customer’s facilities, which may at times require overnight stays.

*Must have a good driving record and be able to pass a company physical

VIEW JOBS JOB SUMMARY: Design, advise and assist with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs and policies while interacting with employees in multiple areas of manufacturing of Textron Aviation aircraft. JOB RESPONISIBILITIES: I. Design and assist with implementation of general safety and environmental policies and procedures to be followed in compliance with corporate policies and local, state, and federal EPA and OSHA rules and regulations. II. Attend Textron Corporate/Textron Aviation EHS meetings/seminars to stay abreast of policies and procedures, and transmits this information to leadership. III. Research and find solutions for safety upgrades and challenges for environmental and health and safety issues. IV. Assist/lead multifunctional teams in implementing EHS practices throughout the organization to build a positive culture. V. Respond to EHS concerns presented by management, supervision, and employees, and communicate possible solutions based on best practice principles. VI. Assist with incident investigations on injuries or illnesses and provide recommendations to prevent recurrences, using the root cause analysis method. VII. Be aware of basic Ergonomic principles and be willing to lead preliminary ergonomic Injury investigations and perform Ergonomic reviews by understanding the employee's tasks and risks. VIII. Provide positive coaching to employees including developing and conducting effective safety training. IX. Provide technical knowledge and support on Environmental, Health and Safety issues X. Participate in community or industry EHS groups and programs. XI. Perform other related duties as required by supervisor. XII. Maintain and promote Textron/OSHA/EPA/DOT policies: a. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's Degree required in: * Environmental Health and Safety * Health Services Management * Medical Administration * Other related fields * Relevant experience would include: Environmental Compliance, Safety, Health Management, Engineering, Workers Compensation Management and Leadership. * Level will be based on relevant experience, scope of role, and manager's discretion. QUALIFICATIONS: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Quickly grasps new concepts when faced with unfamiliar tasks * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma desired * Computer proficient * Basic understanding of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations
