We are looking for a talented Machine Tool Electrician, who will be responsible for assembling machine control panels, wires machines, and installs control components to manufacture LINK equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Apply electrical knowledge towards the assembly and wiring of LINK Equipment (NFPA79)

  • Work and build on unique custom designed machine products

  • Apply knowledge of machine tool wiring towards dynamometers

  • Fit and adjust cabinets, conduit, and specified machine components to close tolerance and create symmetry

  • Follow wiring schematics and understand control, instrumentation, and high power to wire LINK equipment

  • Perform machine installation at customer sites

  • Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment

  • All other related duties as assigned

  • Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Electrical or equivalent

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience wiring machine tool equipment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of NFPA 79 or 60204

  • Knowledge of various wires including control, high power, and instrumentation

  • Able to read and follow blueprints

  • 120V/480V 3-phase wiring experience

  • Previous Lockout/Tagout experience

  • Conduit both ridged and EMT bending skills

  • Proven knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

  • Proven knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services

  • Proven knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

  • Ability to use a computer

Physical Requirements:

  • The position is located in a manufacturing environment and will involve hands-on work. Physical activity may include lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity or sitting for long periods of time

  • Ability to speak verbally, and read in English

  • Ability to see with corrective lenses

  • Ability to hear

  • Ability to walk

  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically

Hazards:

  • Normal hazards related to working in an office environment, manufacturing, and testing environment

  • Normal hazards related to road and air travel
