Machine Repair/Equipment Builder

Indianapolis, IN

As the Machine Repair/Equipment Builder for Rolls-Royce, you will develop and build a variety of special machines, attachments and miscellaneous mechanical equipment. Repair, adjust and maintain all types of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Diagnose and trouble shoot production assets

  • Dismantles, inspects, cleans, repairs, replaces and fits worn or damaged parts, reassembles and adjusts all types of machine tools, miscellaneous machinery and mechanical equipment.

  • Uses precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, squares, gage blocks, indicators.

  • Work from blueprints, sketches, verbal and written instructions

  • Handles parts manually or with the aid of material handling equipment

  • Ability to lift, hold and carry up to 50 pounds unaided

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Journeyman's card or certified completion of training or formal apprenticeship program required

  • In lieu of a formal apprenticeship program, journeyman's card or equivalent training, a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience may be considered

  • Thorough knowledge of machine construction, functions and methods of repair and adjustment

  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Understanding of ball-bars, laser alignment, and levelling techniques

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products

  • Understanding of charts and graphs or KPI's
