Job Summary: As a Machine Operator at ETC you will be responsible for operating a CNC Waterjet Cutter and Horizontal Band Saw to cut materials as part of the fabrication process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow all safe work practices

• Read engineering drawings to determine required cut sizes for parts

• Operate CNC Waterjet Cutter units and supporting equipment

• Operate Horizontal Band Saw and supporting equipment

• Inspect finished parts for correct sizes

• Assemble component parts using hand and small power tools

• Operate forklifts, overhead crane, saws, grinders, and other tools to support fabrication

• Attention to detail and have the desire to create quality parts

• Clean up work area daily

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years' experience in a shop or production environment

• Experience with fabrication equipment including hand tools, saws, grinders, mills, lathes, and cutting equipment including Waterjet Cutters

• Understanding of engineering drawings and dimensions; understanding of Waterjet Cutter and Horizontal Band Saw operation

• Ability to work quickly and skillfully with hands

• Ability to visualize what the finished product should look like

• Sense of accountability for work performed

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Mechanical assembly experience preferred

• Good communication and strong attention to details

• Ability to lift, push, pull, push 50+ pounds
