Description

Mill Creek Lumber and Supply Company has been a trusted provider of lumber and building materials since 1934. As our operations grow, our Wood Systems, Inc. location is seeking a motivated and reliable Machine Operator Trainee to help keep our production running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up, operating, and monitoring production machines such as saws, planers, routers, CNC and edge banders.

  • Learn to ensure machines are correctly calibrated and adjusted for each job.

  • Help monitor machine operations to spot and address any issues.

  • Participate in regular maintenance and cleaning of machines.

  • Assist in inspecting raw materials and finished products for quality assurance.

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Work with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

  • Help keep records of production output, machine maintenance, and any incidents.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • No prior experience required; training will be provided.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

  • Basic understanding of lumber and building materials is a plus but not required.

  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams is helpful.

  • Good physical stamina and dexterity to handle materials and operate machinery.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
