Primary Responsibility:

Set up pallet stand with a new pallet, ensuring the correct stacking pattern of bundles, proper wrapping, and storage.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain Clean Environment: Follow the 5S system to keep the work area clean.

• Operate Shrink Wrap Equipment: Set up and operate shrink wrap equipment to create wrapped pallets, ensuring they're free of damage, pests, or trash.

• Bundle Offloading: Offload shrink-wrapped bundles onto pallets.

• Quality Monitoring: Monitor production runs for quality conformity.

• Pallet Preparation: Place finished work on designated pallets for the next process.

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on equipment.

• Job Paperwork: Read and understand job tickets, complete necessary paperwork, and record information in the data system.

• Quality Communication: Communicate with team members to address quality issues.

• Safety Compliance: Follow safety practices and maintain a clean dock area.

• Productivity Reporting: Report productivity achievements and waste/defects.

• Labeling: Print and fold labels, ensuring they match the job ticket.

• Stock Handling: Call stock puller for pickup at the machine.

• Procedure Adaptation: Adapt to new procedures and innovations.

• Downtime Utilization: Use downtime for tasks to maintain a clean work environment or as instructed by a supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; related experience or training.

• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

• Language Skills: Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

• Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical skills.

• Certification: Must become a certified operator for required equipment in accordance with SCT training.

Physical Demands:

• Physical Abilities: Regularly walk, stand, use hands, reach, and occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Lifting: Frequently lift/move 25 to 75 pounds.

• Duration: Able to perform functions for a minimum of 8 hours with breaks on a regular basis.

Commitment and Availability:

Regular attendance and punctuality are fundamental requirements. You must also be available for overtime work when necessary.
