Under close to general supervision working on various CNC machines throughout the machine shop. Must possess the ability to inspect the various components produced using precision measuring equipment while keeping production records and maintenance logs.
1.Perform repetitive to frequent tasks using standard procedures and various conventional and/or manual machine tools.
2.May work from engineering drawings and/or specifications.
3.Will be required to comply with documentation and/or record keeping procedures.
4.Use precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet engineering specifications.
5.Perform minor offset adjustments to keep components within engineering specifications.
6.Train others on operational and/or documentation procedures.
Position Requirements (Education, Special Training, Certifications):
High school diploma.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
Intermediate math skills.
Demonstrated machining and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.), power tools and common measuring equipment.
1-3 years related machining experience.
Basic understanding of machining practices.
Intermediate understanding of control operation.
Basic CIM and networking skills.
Preferred beginner machine language.
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
The ability to work with and machine small component parts.
Must have good visual acuity and demonstrate fine motor skills/ability.
Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, etc.).
Must be able to follow and explain detailed instructions and inspection procedures.
Must be able to complete detailed documentation accurately.
Ability to analyze and correct routine to frequent issues using independent judgment.
