Position Summary
Acuren Inspection is looking for a Machine Operator II to support our operations in New Castle, DE.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate band saws, CNC lathes and milling machines to produce mechanical test specimens in accordance with client requirements and internal procedures.
Essential Functions
Work in a safe and cautious manner, respecting moving equipment and identifying and mitigating all potential hazards.
Cut and prepare samples exactly as instructed from other qualified personnel including engineers and technical staff.
Operate CNC lathes.
Ensure machined samples are de-burred with all sharp edges removed, and are identified with accurate markings including sample ID, job number, and reference information as per quality assurance program.
Assist in the coordination of work flow through the department and scheduling to meet client needs.
Clean and maintain equipment and work space daily.
Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret detailed technical specifications and drawings.
Previous experience in a machine shop setting using both manual and automated machinery.
Ability to program and trouble shoot CNC lathe with Fanuc controls strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent English communication skills including correct basic grammar, spelling, punctuation.
Ability to safely carry out oral and written work instructions.
