Summary:
This position maintains production on a daily basis inside a clean room environment.

They are capable of clearing faults, replenishing materials to the automated equipment, starting up machines, and making minor adjustments to produce acceptable product. The individuals are required to wear protective clothing and maintain a high level of personal hygiene, per local procedures, to reduce contamination of the products. Principal

Responsibilities:

Responds to machines faults by observing potential fault causes, reacting to faults, and recovering machine if fault occurs; Monitors materials levels and replenishes as required to ensure effective operation of automated equipment; Meets daily production schedules and quality standards by following work and safety instructions; May be required to perform other tasks as requested by group leader or supervisor Accurately completes all necessary Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) paperwork in order to track, log and monitor production activity. Starts machines after faults by following correct procedures and sequence of steps according to SOPs (refers to light tower to determine status of machine). Visually inspects component parts to insure all are built in compliance with all current quality standard documentation Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following safety procedures and observing potentially hazardous situations; Wipes down production equipment by using proper techniques and personal protection equipment to ensure effective and efficient operation; Assist in training other Machine Operators; Other duties as assigned.

Molding Operator: this role will be responsible for: * Covering technical support as needed, including acting technician when a tech is out. * Training new molding operators * Assist with mold sets / pulls * Understanding of basic troubleshooting used to improve scrap * Start-up / Shutdown facility maintenance, including but not limited to: Chilled and tower water systems, compressed air, all machines, all auxiliary equipment (TCU, resin loaders, robots, etc.) * Assist in Preventative Maintenance of molding equipment * Maintaining Forklift certification All molding Operators must maintain a safe, clean, and highly organized work environment and must maintain and operate molding machines. They are responsible for daily operation, collection and inspection, packaging, and measurement and inspection of all molded components for assurance that all components meet print specifications. Responsible for meeting the requirements of all internal customers of the Molding Department and complete all documentation to meet GMP and ISO requirements. Molding Operators will be required to collect SPC data. Operators must perform all required clerical work such as filing, record keeping, etc. The Molding Operator is also responsible for meeting daily production schedules, following Haemonetics' Safety instructions, and participating in Employee Involvement, Quality, and Productivity improvement programs. Specific Duties: * Ensure components being built are always in compliance with all current, applicable documentation, [(ie. Manufacturing Instructions (MI), Bill of Materials (BOM), Standing Instructions (SI), and Standard Operating Procedures.)] * Ensure all components being built are properly labeled, including scrap, in accordance with applicable Haemonetics' SOP's. * Perform routine cleaning activities on molding machines, robotics and other production equipment and workspaces as needed. * Accurately perform start and stop procedures on the machines and robotics. * Work with various chemicals such as alcohol, resins, and water soluble solutions. * Perform inspection, and/or test of various components. Inspection method may include visual inspection, dimensional inspection, functional inspection, and memory property testing. * Ensure fixtures, standards, and equipment are in calibration at all times. * Work with the team to develop and implement improvements to the manufacturing processes that favorably impact quality and/or cost (efficiency) as needed. * Take ownership and develop a strong and confident team that understands the concept of Continuous Improvement and that takes accountability for building the highest quality product (zero defects) in an efficient manner (lower cost). * Use simple grasping, fine manipulation, and bi-manual dexterity techniques. * Continuous physical activities include bending, twisting, kneeling, and lifting and lowering objects no more than 40 pounds. * Frequent pushing/pulling and reaching and lifting above shoulders is required. * Perform other manufacturing related tasks as directed by Group Leader or Manager.
