Job summary
A Machine Operator runs various sewing machines, lathes, mills, punch presses, laser cutter and other machinery to fabricate a variety of parts to very close tolerances. A Machine Operator 3 can do all of the setups and tool changeovers for all machines in the assigned area, adjust tool offsets, and perform basic machine maintenance. He/she can make part adjustments or CNC program edits. The operator is able to tend and feed materials into all assigned machines and make necessary measurements to verify part quality.
Essential functions
Manufactures WIP components to meet the demand of the assembly lines.
Demonstrated ability to set up and operate all machines in assigned area and work to very close tolerances.
Train Machine Operator 1 and 2's on setups and machine operation
Check the accuracy of work using a variety of precision measuring tools and records the results.
Understand and perform edits to programs and processes
Ensure consistent throughput and quality by following drawings and work instructions. Responsible for accomplishing production rates set by management.
Ensure a safe work area by following safety procedures, Hazard sign offs, and work instructions. Maintain cleanliness of area.
Should be able to define new process and train other to them
Minimum requirements
Two year degree in Machine Technology or 2 years of experience as a machine operator
High school diploma or equivalent
Must speak English
Basic math, writing, and computer skills
Must have good hand -eye coordination and good attention to detail
Must have a good mechanical aptitude
Must be able to follow work instructions, Safety procedures
Able to work extended hours when needed
Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently
People Management Responsibilities
Assist and Trains Machine Operator 1 and 2's with setups and machine operation.
Assigns daily tasks to Machine Operator 1 and 2's to meet production demands based on direction given by Supervisor.

Must be able to lift 50lbs on a daily basis
Must be able to perform repetitive motion using arms, hands, and wrists
Must be able to stand for a 10-hour shift
Factory environment, possible noisy and hot/cold temperatures
