Machine Operator - 1St Shift - Fabrication / Plate

Hendrick Manufacturing in Carbondale, PA has an opening for a 1st Shift Machine Operator in our Fabrication/Plate Department. Hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 2:30PM.

Duties:

The individual who functions in this position must carry out all of the functions associated with being a Machine Operator in our Fabrication / Plate Department. To qualify as a Machine Operator, an individual must be able to perform all of the following:

• Maintain each Press according to maintenance procedures and diagnose and perform routine preventive maintenance

• Possess the ability to set up and operate the CNC Press Brake, Mechanical Press Brake and the Whitney Plasma Punch

• Produce product as described in the shop order, set proper die clearance, proper punch grade and apply proper lubrication

• Read shop product as described on the shop order

• Detect when a tool needs to be serviced, set up a tool accordingly and determine and set slide and stripper settings

• Requires ability to multitask efficiently as required and perform other duties as assigned

Education:

• High School graduate or GED

Experience

• Trade/vocation certification preferred

• 1 3 years' experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing / industrial environment

• Ability to read a ruler, tape measure, drawings, micrometer and set calipers
