Machine Maintenance Technician II

Responsible for assisting in maintaining the operating condition of all machines. Also responsible for assisting in the coordination of related vendors, as needed, and providing general assistance and guidance for any building maintenance and factory upkeep projects. Responsible for providing machine preventative maintenance including oil changes and chip removal as scheduled.

Essential Job Functions:

• Update and manage preventative maintenance program

• Provide machine maintenance to all machines according to preventative maintenance schedule

• Troubleshoot and repair machines as needed

• Remove chips and change oil in machines during PMs or as needed

• Cross-train with Support Services Personnel and provide back up as needed

• Conserve energy and organizational resources when possible

Qualifications

• Assist in other duties as needed and directed

• Display a basic knowledge of machine tool components

• Display a basic knowledge and ability to troubleshoot CNC machine controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics

• Ability to read and understand schematics (electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic)

• Ability to efficiently communicate with OEM machine service personnel

• Must be able to identify and contact replacement part distributors as needed

• Maintain confidentiality

• Thoroughness and attention to detail

• Develops alternative solutions when needed

• Ability to operate and obtain forklift license

• Must maintain a valid driver's license

• Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
