The Engineering Services Department is seeking an individual to assist bottling plants with machine trouble shooting, repairs and upgrades. This position manages projects consisting of relocation and installing new equipment.
THIS POSITION CAN WORK REMOTELY
Always work with Safety # 1 Goal
Specify equipment, prepare capital projects, and manage the project to completion.
Manage vendor relations, schedules, and technology.
Ability to communicate results with plant and senior leadership
Inspect, trouble shoot, repair, upgrade, and install bottling machines.
Assist plants with meeting their uptime goals.
Manage relocation and installation of equipment.
Oversee usage and provide technical help to PM programs.
Perform FAT's on new equipment purchases.
Guide corporate machine purchase initiatives.
Assist employees in all departments and facilities in solving maintenance problems.
Take control of machine when a situation arises that has the potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of machine.
Responsible for adherence to Berry, industry, and/or regulatory procedures
Responsible for closing a project and conducting a post project review for the continuous improvement of Berry Global on future projects.
Responsible for reporting deviations on time, cost, and deliverable project components to senior management as project progresses.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
5 plus years of hands-on "Injection Machine Equipment" is preferred.
Individual must be "Safety and Team Oriented", a "Good Communicator", and possess "Project Management" skills
Ability to work independently
Have mechanical aptitude.
Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Able to read blue prints and schematics.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds overhead.
Must be able to work around grease, oils, inks, and solvents without adverse reaction.
Ability to climb up and down ladders.
Must be able to stand, walk bend or stoop through an entire day.
Hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, & electronics troubleshooting skills essential.
