Integrity Applications Incorporated (IAI) is a software and system engineering company headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia with offices Nationwide. Pacific Defense Solutions, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IAI, based in Kihei Hawaii, is looking for a Senior Engineer or Scientist to support its on-going High Performance Computing (HPC) and Machine Learning (ML) and software development activities. The preference is that the candidate would relocate to Maui integrate with our HPC/ML efforts there including those at the Maui High Performance Computing Center.

Machine Learning Engineer candidates must have the ability to structure analysis and drive creative solutions while working across multiple groups and locations are keys to success in this position as is a passion for technology and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will perform novel concept research in HPC and ML, and support design and implementation of broad requirements using both HPC and ML hardware and software solutions,

Requirements

A Bachelors Degree and 2-5 years of experience in scientific fields including Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/or Mathematics with ML background required.
A Master's (related Thesis) or a PhD (related Dissertation) desired.
Solid oral presentation and writing skills is required.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment is required.
Knowledge of cyber vulnerabilities, exploits, and threats desired.
Software architecture and development/programming experience desired.

This position supports our Kihei office with workplace in Carlsbad CA

VIEW JOBS 1/22/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-22T00:00 Machine Operator III Only SMX associates that have been on assignment in Finishing for a minimum of 6 months will be considered SUMMARY: Responsible for operation of one or more machines within a process area involving set up, feeding, racking, operating, tooling, preventative maintenance and clean up. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: * Perform twisting, bending, reaching and forceful repetitive motions that require the use of shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, waist, legs and neck to lift parts from metal pans. * Place parts on machine holding devices and removes them after they have been machined/polished. * Operate computer controlled equipment throughout the shift. * Lift up to 40 pounds from floor to waist level throughout the shift. * Stand on concrete floors for 8 hours every day. * Ability to work in a noisy, dirty environment. * Operate high production equipment. * Distinguish between various parts and finishes. * Visually examine throughout the entire shift individual metal parts for finish and damage. * Set up, change and adjust machine tooling to accommodate parts being machined. * Change and/or adjust tooling and make offset changes when needed. * Clean and perform preventative maintenance as needed in order to maintain the equipment in optimum operating conditions at all times. * Wear protective safety equipment throughout the entire shift. This includes safety glasses and earplugs. * Maintain production reports, tracking downtime, set up time, parts produced, etc. * Use basic PC skills. * Operate hand truck daily. * Operate pallet jack as required. * Maintain safety requirements in work area. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Demonstrate mechanical knowledge and capabilities. * Demonstrate good hand/eye coordination. * Demonstrate accurate decision making skills. * Visually identify and differentiate between metals. * Ability to handle all types and sizes (4 oz to 2 lbs. Of metal parts made of brass, stainless steel or bronze). * Work with coolants and various machining oils. * Frequently lift up to 40 pounds from floor to waist height. * Stand on concrete floors 8 hours or more per shift. * Write English, alpha and numeric characters. * Understand English instructions both written and verbal. * Perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimal system and fractions. * Read and understand basic measurement tools including dial calipers, micrometers, steel rules and go/no go gauges. * Knowledge of SPC. * Read and understand blueprint drawings. * Use pneumatic and electrical hand tools. * Perform rapid visual inspection. * Ability to work alone or with other people.
