Machine Finisher

Looking for a change and wanting to join a fast paced, growing company? Join the Douglas Assembly team as a Mechanical Assembly Technician. Take ownership by reassuring the automation packaging machine is built correctly to specifications and documentation. Also, work hands on as a team player by testing and debugging the mechanical systems to ensure customer satisfaction.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Advancement and growth opportunities available.

A day to day glimpse of responsibilities include:

• Setting up, testing, and debugging equipment in preparation to customer visit

• Verifying machines are constructed to specifications and documentation is up-to-date

• Working closely with several departments to successfully complete machines and shipment

• Assist in training assembly employees at all skill levels

• Maintaining a clean and orderly tool box, cart, shop equipment and surrounding areas

The person in this position must be able to read and understand machine assembly blue prints, able to setup, debug, and test packaging machines, troubleshoot mechanical problems and resolve, use hand and power tools safely, and be proficient at use of computers.

An associate's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent, plus work experience within the packaging industry preferred.
