We're Hiring: Machine Builder
Location: Maumelle, AR
Reports To: Machine Build Supervisor
Primary Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder to assemble and debug automation designs, support automation upgrades, and facilitate equipment transfers worldwide.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assemble and debug automation equipment to meet engineering validation, product verification, and machine qualification requirements.
Fabricate, assemble, modify, and troubleshoot automation stations and components. Address assembly and product issues, adjust manufacturing processes, and respond to production needs.
Perform electrical field wiring of sensors, valves, and motors, ensuring clean and organized machine wiring harnesses.
Supervise the disassembly, packaging, unpacking, and commissioning of LR-Automation equipment globally.
Provide technical support for new equipment launches, including training technicians and operators on safe and proper equipment operation.
Participate in Design Reviews and PFMEA's with Automation Design Engineers to enhance automation equipment designs.
Contribute to project completion in line with internal product development procedures, TQM, and IS/QS-9000 requirements. Embrace Six Sigma, ISO, and EH&S Management Systems.
Offer design insights for machine controls and operator interface panels to improve equipment reliability and ease of operation.
Perform additional related duties as assigned by management.
International travel: Up to 20% per year.
Scope: DSS Manufacturing Services, Manufacturing, Automation Shop Activities
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: Technical Trade School Degree, Journeyman Tool & Die Certification
Work Experience:
Required: 5 years' experience as a toolmaker, machine builder, or equivalent experience; 5 years with high-speed, precision machinery.
Preferred: 10 years' experience as a toolmaker, machine builder, or equivalent experience.
Skills & Abilities:
Required:
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Strong self-management, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to perform component inspection using various metrology tools.
Toolmaking skills including manual and/or CNC machining, grinding, and heat-treating.
Ability to read and interpret tool detail, assembly, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
Precision and repeatability in manual grinding, turning, and milling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work positively with diverse cultures.
Geometric shop calculation proficiency.
Understanding of Electrical Interconnect Automation Technologies.
Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours a day.
Preferred:
Proficiency in Siemens NX for model manipulation and measurement.
Documentation of procedures.
Workload estimation.
Foreign language skills in Mandarin or Spanish.
Pay Rate: Negotiable based on experience level.
Relocation: Open to relocation.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $39.00 per hour
