A machine assistant operator is responsible for assisting the machine operator in setting up, operating, and maintaining machines that perform various tasks such as cutting, shaping, drilling, or assembling materials. A machine assistant operator may also perform quality checks, troubleshoot problems, and report any issues to the machine operator or supervisor. A machine assistant operator must have basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist the machine operator in setting up, operating, and maintaining the machines

• Perform quality checks on the products and report any defects or issues to the machine operator

• Load and unload materials and products from the machines

• Follow safety rules and regulations and wear protective equipment

• Keep records of production data and inventory

Requirements

• Basic math and reading skills

• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Physical stamina and strength to lift up to 50 lbs
