IT Platform Services Engineer (ITPSE) works with many teams to manage end-point systems at a high level, serving our employees by ensuring their computers are managed, secure, and up-to-date. The role involves maintaining the end-point management infrastructure, high level policy configuration and deployment, custom integrations between various services, and reporting from those services to teams as necessary. It also involves serving as the highest level of Apple platform support for the organization, and embellishing the knowledgebase across the IT Support staff.
High level policy configuration and deployment for all Macs globally
Custom software packaging for global deployments
Assisting techs globally with high (and low) level technical Mac issues
Generating custom reports with APIs for third party SAS products to help company reclaim licenses and save money; Scripting and software development for other teams with shell, Python, Powershell, etc
Leveraging specialized knowledge to troubleshoot issues affecting platform security and management.
Written and video production of IT Support KnowledgeBase articles.
Advanced knowledge of Apple hardware, OSs and software.
Certification in and experience administering JAMF Software products.
Strong programming skills in a variety of interpreted languages including Bash, PowerScript, and Python
Ability to quickly leverage industry reporting of breaking issues affecting security and management to mitigate threats.
A strong skillset for troubleshooting.
Excellent written and multimedia presentation skills.
