SUMMARY:

As part of the M&A Integration group, this position has primary responsibility to work as part of a team recommending, organizing, planning and managing projects and/or programs to effectively integrate business operations, achieve and monitor post acquisitions results with respect to all business functions, and help develop overall transition strategy and analysis for NFP. This position will have the opportunity to work directly with management during the initial phases after an acquisition.

The Director will focus on planning for and executing on integration strategies for ensuring a smooth transition of newly acquired operations. Will work with Integration Management Office (IMO) team to spearhead analytical support and develop work processes, measurement and monitoring tools to guide post-acquisition efforts for determining success of the integration process. The Director will have critical interaction with key members of NFPs Corporate operational teams and be required to drive the process forward to help achieve NFP's strategic plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Assist in managing the IMOs strategic initiatives

  • Work with IMO team to identify end-to-end integration needs for new acquisitions

  • Plan, coordinate and execute integration strategies for newly acquired entities

  • Work with and organize a team of cross functional resources to efficiently and effectively integrate acquisitions into NFP's operations

  • Prepare communications and documents to deliver process and structure to new acquisitions

  • Assign and track integration tasks and performance to plan

  • Develop, track and report on business KPIs

  • With M&A: Review and track pipeline of new acquisitions

  • With IMO Leadership: Ensure all new acquisitions are fully integrated

  • With IMO Leadership: Push integration initiatives to track against project timelines

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES:

  • Experience in the operational integration of mergers & acquisitions is strongly preferred

  • Balance of project management, conflict resolution and people management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail, process driven and highly organized

  • Positive attitude and team player with the ability to self-motivate

  • High level of integrity and strict adherence to protecting confidential information

  • Good organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to manage time well in a fast-paced, ever-changing, team-oriented environment

  • Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4-7 years of professional experience in an operational function

This Technology delivery leadership position is responsible for critical initiative planning and execution in support of Consumer and Commercial business strategies within a large-scale Agile environment. In this role, you will execute highly complex and company-wide, end to end (E2E) technology delivery for American Express. These initiatives are often comprised of multiple products and you will plan, direct and deliver these strategic programs from initiation through implementation. Responsibilities: * Leads teams and supports product engineering in a scaled agile environment delivering very large business solutions or programs * Serves as the main point of technology contact from initiative inception to delivery * For the portfolio supported, works with business leaders and senior-level architects to help shape the strategy for value stream delivery * Leads a methodology driven quality plan in terms of delivery, features and schedule * Proactively identifies technical delivery and portfolio level risks and implements mitigations. * Establishes and maintains good relationships with product management, architecture, engineering, production operations, and external technology partners ensuring cohesive plans and regular communication of delivery progress * Orchestrates release quality engineering through test planning and execution * Works with technology operations to ensure quality and performance of production releases * Sees opportunities and executes continuous improvements for agile delivery at scale * Contributes to the investment decision process through innovative ideas, input to sequencing and highlighting other technology delivery considerations. * Responsible for people leadership and management * Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred * 8 years of experience leading multi-product, cross platform, technology integration deliveries that require Business, Technology, and Third Party partners. * SAFe Certified preferred with hands-on delivery experience applying SAFe or iterative development processes, including quality and testing practices * 3 years Scrum Master experience preferred * 3 years hands-on technology software API implementation, system integration or comparable experience * Validated servant-leadership ability * Possess a high degree of technical savvy, with a keen ability to learn new technology quickly and easily This role requires the finalist be based out of the New York City or Phoenix, Arizona offices and to be in our office daily.
