Global Employer in the Consumer Products arena is looking to add a new M&A Accounting Manager to the team!

The M&A Accounting Diligence and Integration Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of an M&A deal cycle from preliminary analysis of a target company and management meetings to post-closing valuation and integration. In addition, the manager assists with the performance of the annual goodwill fair value analysis to support the purchase price of closed deals. The role will work closely with Business Unit VPs / GMs and Corporate Development to ensure that business and financial risks and opportunities found during diligence are addressed during integration. The role aligns with their acquisition strategy to grow into new markets and industries.

Knowledge of Business Credit Law as well as Bankruptcy Law Knowledge in Financial Statement Analysis Able to read and ascertain global impact based on industry standards. Multilingual preferred, but not required This position is responsible for overseeing the processing customer credit inquiries, approving credit, payment terms and monitoring and managing credit risk. Reviews the risks and manages legal proceedings as they relate to credit and bankruptcy. Key Job Activities: Activities 1) Develop, standardize and enforce and document global Credit policy. 2) Extends credit to customers in accordance with established global credit policy. 3) Analyzes requests for credit in order to ascertain what information and/or securities 4) Plans, outlines and guides investigations to be performed by direct reports. Maintains operational re-lationships with leadership of other departments. Initiates, develops, and maintains contact with cus-tomers, trade attorneys, accountants, and others as required. Maintains relationships with Global BU credit partners 5) Continually reviews and communicates risks and opportunities to sales and senior management. 6) Supervises the processes and procedures relating to recorded contracts and/or uses of lien, claims, and alternate methods. 7) Regularly updates customer accounts as outlined in established policy. Escalate to Sr. leadership as needed and manage escalations as required. 8) Manage Bankruptcy and directs team on next steps, communicates same to sales team and senior management when warranted. Manage legal processes as they relate to credit/collection risk. Represents company at Creditor meetings and bankruptcy proceedings as needed. 9) Other duties as assigned or requested, including, but not limited to training, retraining, and keeping current on Credit Industry standards. 10) Manage credit policy, processes and staff of global business units. 11) Travel will be required Stericycle Northbrook IL
