U.S. Renal Care is looking for an LVN/LPN for our dialysis facility. The Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse provides hemodialysis therapies to patients with chronic renal disease.


  • May contribute to and implement the plan of care as directed by the Registered Nurse and document as needed.

  • Monitor the outcomes of dialysis treatment on an ongoing basis and communicate results to the Charge Nurse or Administrator as appropriate.

  • Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments, within scope of practice and as allowed by state regulations.

  • Mix acid and bicarbonate according to center procedure when needed.

  • Participate in infection control monitoring, implementation, and recording as requested.


  • Current nursing license in the applicable state.

  • Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors.

  • Previous dialysis nursing experience preferred but not required.

  • Minimum 6 months experience in nursing preferred.

Start doing your life's best work.(sm) Under the direction of physicians, the Clinic LVN Nurse provides clinical support functions and professional nursing care to patients using established standards of clinical nursing care and practices approved by WellMed Medical Group. Primary Responsibilities: * Assesses patient needs using established triage protocol * Recommends follow - up as indicated by protocol * Schedules same day appointments, as indicated * Documents all encounters in electronic medical records system * Evaluates follow - up on patient condition and / or reaction to drugs and treatments * Educates patients, family members and care givers on treatment and care plans * Maintains quality control standards (HIPAA / OSHA) * Performs all other related duties as assigned This is a full time, hourly, M-F position with excellent compensation, benefits within 30 days, bonus potential, vacation / sick time, paid holidays, annual reviews! From January to March, Saturday hours of 8-12 are required. Required Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED * Current Texas Vocational Nurse license * Current BLS and/or CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment * Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records * Effective use of proper grammar, spelling, medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding * This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease Preferred Qualifications: * IV certification * 1 years of experience in a medical setting * Ability to perform medical procedures, give injections and perform phlebotomy * Bilingual in Spanish * Effective listening and communication skills * Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Careers with WellMed.
