To provide safe, cost-effective patient care through the health experience, according to established standards utilizing the nursing process, within the scope of practice of the Licensed Vocational Nurse. Complies with MHS infection control policies and procedures during all aspects of patient care. Demonstrates ability to gather data, communicate appropriately and adapt treatment/technique to the age of patient served. Is able to involve family or caregiver as appropriate in treatment. Clinical practice meets generic and unit-based standards of nursing practice. Coordinates patient care and clinical activities in a timely and efficient manner. Develops and maintains a therapeutic nurse/patient relationship throughout the healthcare continuum. One-year experience in an outpatient setting or physician's office is desired.
Graduate from an accredited school or program of vocational nursing.
Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in California.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
