Job Summary:
Operate Low Volume Automation and other equipment as required according to current Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and provide technical production support services. Responsible for processes critical to the quality of the product and the impact quality can have on the end user. Ability to troubleshoot technical problems. Use and operation of inspection equipment and analytical data to obtain, record and analyze results of process. Use, operate and train on metrology and data collection systems. Use analytical software and control programs to efficiently set up, monitor and optimize automated equipment.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
I. Machine loading, adjustments, product set up and work in progress inspection. (70%)
A. Regularly set up, monitor and optimize low volume automation processing.
B. Utilize tools and technical equipment on the production line to check for continued adherence to standards of tolerance, line performance metrics and product quality.
C. Work as part of a dynamic team environment to ensure automation equipment operates optimally.
D. Responsible for optimal operation of equipment to include data analysis and rapid response to correct deviations.
E. Regularly analyze data and inspect samples to assure proper machine results and make any necessary adjustments or modifications according to procedure.
F. Perform equipment cleaning duties as necessary.
G. Maintain regular surveillance overall production operations, load supplies, operate machine stations and interface with Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens.
H. As directed, trouble shoot problems and make equipment adjustments, changes or recommendations to the Supervisor or Process Engineer.
I. Perform other technical or support services related to production as directed.
J. Provide operational feedback to the Dry Molding process in a timely manner to minimize impact to line performance and quality.
K. Update the management team and business unit on the current status of equipment/production with written turnover reports as well as verbal updates as required.
L. As a team member be extremely proactive in problem solving and identification of equipment or production issues. Take immediate mitigation steps to minimize negative impact to performance metrics.
M. Use simple hand tools to perform adjustment operations.
N. Lead cross functional performance meetings to review daily metrics with quality, engineering, maintenance and operations personnel.
O. As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.
P. Perform other assignments as directed.
II. Analytical Skills. (20%)
A. Operate, enter data, and retrieve data into electronic devices such as computers, scanners, and HMI control panels.
B. Interpret equipment performance and apply corrective actions as needed.
III. Train new employees or cross-train current employees. (5%)
IV. In the absence of a Coordinator or Supervisor, will oversee the operators on the line. (5%)
V. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exhibits good communication skills - verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language
Adheres to SOPs and Regulatory requirements
Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and shop floor systems. Advanced level skills preferred
Ability to read and understand technical material and instruction
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and government regulatory officials
Sound foundation in mechanical principles
Work Environment:
Work a 12 hour shift schedule to support 24/7 molding operations
Works scheduled holidays and overtime as necessary in order to maintain service levels for customers
Follows appropriate safety and equipment maintenance procedures
Works in a team manufacturing environment

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $23.29 and $26.78 and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
