PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Run production, monitor and maintain rate and quality throughout the production run.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Run mold press independently while maintaining rate and quality throughout the production run.

Run related secondary equipment when applicable.

Understand and use blueprints, engineering specifications, work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required by the production run.

Understand and operate all equipment controls and operator interfaces.

Maintain accurate written records and keep appropriate documentation following QMD Good Documentation Procedures (GDP).

Communicate with supervisors, leads, set-up technicians and quality assurance.

Maintain a clean and orderly work environment per 5S standards.

Execute the line clearance procedures per standard.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

Strong Communication skills written and verbal in English.

High degree of organization and self-motivation.

Ability to work in a team environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Language Skills

Ability to read and write in English.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out assignments or request assistance when required.

Computer Skills

Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to clock in and clock out of production jobs.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.

The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time.

The employee must be able to walk steps between the floors in the building regularly.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
