Summary:

The LPN/RN House Supervisor performs the normal duties of an LPN/RN with an additional focus on monitoring A ccu-checks, vitals, lab tracking, and weights. This role is also responsible for assisting, educating, and supervising CNAs and nurses, supporting the admission and discharge processes, uploading files, and scheduling resident appointments. The LPN/RN House Supervisor assists with completing assessments, and maintaining open lines of communication with internal staff, doctors, nurse practitioners and medical directors, as well as residents' families.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the nursing service department.

  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.

  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.

  • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.

  • Make daily rounds of the nursing service department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards. Report findings to the Director. Make rounds with physicians as necessary.

  • Ensure that all RNs and LPNs on your shift comply with written procedures for the administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies. Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • Valid registration as an LPN/RN in the state of Practice

  • Completion of relevant state Board of Nursing approved.
