This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are expected to include 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Thursday) and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Friday). Occasional overtime may be required.
(1)Answer patient calls regarding questions about prescriptions, procedures, scheduling, medications, etc.
(2)Be knowledgeable about what the prescription status is when referencing PrognoCIS.
(3)Use PrognoCIS to access patient records and review Provider notes for pertinent information regarding patients care.
(4)Provide clear patient information and education and give the caller advice on handling their situation prior or post procedure. Consult pre- and post-op procedure instructions as necessary.
(5)Evaluate a patient over the phone and determine if emergency care is needed, or if the patient should be seen by a provider, and either set up appointment for patients who need to see a physician or arrange for an appointment scheduler to make the appointment.
(6)If patient is asking questions that need to be answered by Provider team, create new message in PrognoCIS and tag appropriate Provider team and any other appropriate personnel.
(7)Be knowledgeable about all procedures performed by our Providers, including the reasons for each procedure and other miscellaneous information regarding procedures.
(8)Check voicemails as dictated by the voicemail schedule and take appropriate action to resolve issues and/or answer questions. For every voicemail checked, enter necessary information into voicemail log.
(9)Continuously check messages in PrognoCIS and respond in a timely manner. The expectation is that messages will be returned within one business day.
(10)Return phone calls to patients when necessary. The expectation is that messages will be returned within one business day.
(11)Correspond with pharmacies when necessary.
(12)Send prescriptions over to pharmacies as needed.
(13)Maintain daily log of patients spoken to and nature of action taken.
(14)Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
The position requires a valid, unrestricted Arkansas Licensed Practical Nurse license, BLS certification, current influenza vaccination. One (1) year of prior customer service experience or call center experience is preferred.
