We are currently seeking a Full-Time Infection Control LPN to join our team at Columbia Correctional Institution located in Lake City, Florida.

The LPN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. Works under the direction of registered nurses, medical and psychiatric staff to respond to a range of physical and mental health needs.

The Infection Control LPN will perform a variety of duties involved in the prevention and control of infectious diseases to include the collection, definition, interpretation and reporting of data in a systematic manner. Assist with care plan development and provision of care for offenders with acute and chronic infectious disease and serve as a consultant for nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking and reporting of offenders identified with infectious disease.

Hours:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 8am-4:30pm

Qualifications

  • Florida LPN license or ability to obtain license

  • Infection control experience preferred

  • Current CPR

  • Corrections experience not required

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
