Responsibilities
LPN
Turning Point is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work the night shift in our men's programs. The LPN promotes a therapeutic milieu and provides quality patient care. Collaborate with Clinical Services and other departments to accomplish the treatment goals of Turning Point. In addition, duties may include:
Patient assessments
Medication administration
Medication education
Provide direct patient care
Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment
Maintain accurate and complete data and records
Performs observation rounds
Communicates therapeutically and age appropriately
Intervenes with suicidal gestures, inappropriate behaviors, elopements, etc., using proper CPI technique
Therapeutically communicate with patients. Assists in developing appropriate boundaries and helps to develop social skills
Directs/redirects behaviors, demonstrating appropriate behavioral consequences. Responds appropriately to impulsivity issues as they relate to age specific criteria
Recognize and communicate the physical and psychological status of the patients under their care
This position's days and hours will vary based on a rotational schedule. This position qualifies for shift differential pay. Night shifts are from 530pm

Qualifications
One (1) year experience with psychiatric, trauma, or substance abuse patients, preferred.
Licensed in good standing by the State of Georgia
