Working here is an unbelievable privilege and it will be something I carry with me for the rest of my life!"- Sunrise Team Member Looking for PRN nurses, any shift At Sunrise, our LPN Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:
- Administration of medications- Documentation of medication administration- Providing resident care while demonstrating the Mission for Sunrise Senior Living, 'to champion the quality of life for all senior' in accordance with federal, state and local standards- Promote the highest degree of quality care and services to our residents in accordance to the Sunrise Senior Living policies

Qualifications:
- L.P.N, LVN or state specific licensed nurse credential- In states where appropriate, must maintain certifications- Must be at least 18 years of age- Previous experience working with seniors preferred and desire to serve and care for seniors- Ability to make choices, decisions and act in the resident's best interest- Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations- Ability to handle multiple priorities- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills- As applicable, all Sunrise team members who drive a Sunrise vehicle must sign the Driver job description, understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance- Minimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, independent living, hospital or long term care environment and desire to serve and care for seniors- Decision making abilities and acting in the resident's best interest, ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations and possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding

Position Summary: Administers resident care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or a physician to maintain the highest level of resident care. Essential Functions: * Because HCF exists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide quality care * Must be in good physical condition as the position requires the ability to stand on one's feet throughout the day, as well as, push, pull, move and/or lift frequently a minimum of 10 pounds and up to greater than 50 pounds occasionally * Commitment to HCF mission, values, philosophy and Service Excellence Initiative * Must be able to complete performance requirements independently while using good judgment as well as have the ability to harmoniously work with others * Must be able to read, write and understand the English language Position Responsibilities: * Must function within scope of practice according to the State Board of Nursing * Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician * Must follow HCF Policy and Procedures * Must meet job related competencies as outlined in the Skills Competency Manual * Supervises, evaluates and may suspend personnel according to HCF policy * Accurately complete documentation of care given * Refers to and follows resident care plan * Observes, evaluates and reports any abnormal findings, such as, injuries, incidents, skin issues, complaints, suspected abuse/neglect/misappropriation, and any unsafe conditions as well as any significant changes in condition * Attend required in-service education * Follows appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices * Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors * Assumes responsibility for his/her own professional competence * All other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. * Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the State Board of Nursing. * CPR certification recommended.
