RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The Clinical Manager is accountable for the management of all clinical activity within the practice. Using the cognitive skills of application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation, the Clinical Manager is responsible for using the concepts of case management to coordinate and supervise the care of all patients.
The nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care) will be the framework in which care is provided. Key functions include directing, supervising, and evaluating performance of CMAs, LPNs, and RNs within the specific practice.
The Clinical Manager acts as the first line liaison and resource to the clinical staff. Accountability will be monitored through direct observations; timely achievement of service goals including satisfaction, quality, and financial outcomes; and performance improvement activities. The Clinical Manager demonstrates population-specific competencies (e.g. age-specific, cultural sensitivity, patient-centered communication) in performance of role.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an LPN program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Seven (7) years nursing experience required to include five (5) years progressive leadership experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current license in the State of Georgia and South Carolina as a LPN or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
Current BLS certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate or Bachelor�s degree in nursing preferred.
RN with at least three (3) years progressive leadership experience preferred.
