DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION The Licensed Practical Nurse supports the nursing process and functions under the direction of the Medical Director, Nurse Practitioner and/or Professional Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse must adhere to policy and procedures of Berkshire Faculty Services clinical services. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.) Experience: Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing. Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures. Experience in handling multiple telephone lines and excellent clerical/organizational skills required. Physician office experience preferred. Education and Training: Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing. License, Certification

Registration:

Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in Massachusetts. Must be CPR certified. Other Requirements: Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulation. Data entry skills preferred. Working knowledge of Windows and PC applications required. Ability to work independently and take direction. Self-motivated and has the ability to be independent and flexible in a team framework. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates ability to handle confidential and sensitve information.
