Esse Health is currently seeking a full-time LPN for a phones position at our Southside Family Practice office located at 1031 Bellevue Ave.

Summary: The LPN's main responsibility will be answering incoming phone calls.

The LPN will ask pertinent questions related to patient symptoms and relay this information to the provider. The chosen candidate must project a positive and professional image over the phone, and in all interactions with patients and coworkers. We are seeking candidates who have the ability to multi-task and stay organized, as well as who possess a strong desire to delivery quality customer service!

Preferred Qualifications: Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited LPN school of nursing.

One or more years of experience, current nursing license in MO, dedication to patient satisfaction, ability to communicate effectively and ability to work compatibly with physicians and other staff members. CPR Certification, PC/Windows proficiency, medical coding proficiency, willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction. Knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO's, PPO's, etc., ability to recognize priority or emergency phone calls, ability to communicate effectively with patients, both on the telephone and in person, including patients who are angry or upset, ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, ability to sit at a desk and answer the telephone/perform data entry up to 8 hours a day.
