LPN Or CMA | Wound Care

Join the wound center team in Redwood Falls as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant! Imagine the impact you can have on patients in Redwood Falls and surrounding communities! Provide support in carrying out the functions of the Wound Care department as advised by the advanced practice providers and under the direction of clinic leadership.

Summary

• Room patient per CentraCare policies, protocols and/or standards.

• Assist with procedures and administer medications and injections.

• Assist provider and help with other patient care tasks.

• Maintain cleanliness of workspaces and exam rooms.

• Manage patient schedule/flow.

• Organize patient information and document appropriately.

• Complete referrals and schedule appointments.

• Outreach to clinic sites as needed with provider.

Schedule

• Fulltime position

• Working 80 hours every two weeks | primarily onsite with some nursing home visits with team.

• Daytime shifts between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00PM.

Pay and Benefits

• $19.66 or more per hour for LPNs and $18.62 or more per hour for CMAs. Pay determined by experience.
• $2,500 (LPN); $2,000 (CMA) hiring bonus and $5,000 Relocation bonus for eligible candidates!

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant degree required.

• Healthcare knowledge/terminology or medical office experience required.

• Strong customer service, time management and communication skills.

Licensure and Certification

• Certified Medical Assistant required.

OR

• Licensed Practical Nurse in Minnesota required.

• Basic Life Support

• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card prior to completion of unit orientation required.

Department

CentraCare Wound Center offers chronic wound care management in an outpatient setting. The center uses a multi-disciplinary, evidence-based approach to treat those suffering from slow-to-heal or non-healing wounds. Patients who qualify may be referred for hyperbaric oxygen therapy which enhances natural wound-healing by delivering high concentrations of oxygen to the bloodstream.

Hiring bonus requirements: To be eligible for the sign-on bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare/Carris for at least 9 months at the date of hire.

Relocation assistance requirements: Must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare/Carris in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away from Redwood Falls, MN and relocate to within 30 miles of it.
