At Sunrise, our LPN Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner.



  • Administration of medications

  • Documentation of medication administration

  • Providing resident care while demonstrating the Mission for Sunrise Senior Living, 'to champion the quality of life for all senior' in accordance with federal, state and local standards

  • Promote the highest degree of quality care and services to our residents in accordance to the Sunrise Senior Living policies


  • L.P.N, LVN or state specific licensed nurse credential

  • In states where appropriate, must maintain certifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred and desire to serve and care for seniors

  • Ability to make choices, decisions and act in the resident's best interest

  • Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding

  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills

  • As applicable, all Sunrise team members who drive a Sunrise vehicle must sign the Driver job description, understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance

  • Minimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, independent living, hospital or long term care environment and desire to serve and care for seniors

  • Decision making abilities and acting in the resident's best interest, ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations and possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding

The incumbent for the position will be a valuable addition to the Quality Control department to support the needs to the department. The focus for this position is to establish and lead the Quality Control department and all its activities such as but not limited to qualification of manufactured products, necessary raw materials, other non-conforming products, proficiency testing, sample banking and other required laboratory testing. The incumbent must ensure proper functionality of laboratory equipment and adequate inventory of laboratory supplies. The Quality Control Manager will report to the Quality Systems Manager. Responsibilities: Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to, * Adhere to all company policies, procedures and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements. * Assist in maintenance of the company's Quality Management System; maintains and demonstrates understanding of applicable regulations such as ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820. * Coordinate efforts associated with the preparation of quality control documents for manufactured goods. * Follow Standard Operating Procedures to perform Quality Control Laboratory testing. * Operate standard laboratory equipment such as but not limited to cLED microscope, washer, and liquid handling analyzer * Reporting of inconsistencies, malfunctions or variations; and provide written explanations of flaws with limited supervision. * Collaborate with cross-functional areas and QC lab to schedule routine lab activities and provide timely support to production, R&D, Complaint, product release etc. groups. * Train QC Lab Technicians on lab procedures and equipment. * Procedural evaluation, review and revise laboratory Standard Operating Procedures. * Assist in performing IQ, OQ, and PQ validations for new laboratory equipment or methods. * Prepare study protocols and reports as needed. * Execute study protocol, non-routine test with limited supervision. * Demonstrated experience working with external vendors. (i.e. Lab suppliers, Sample sourcing suppliers, etc.) * Develop and maintain a sample bank; "Calibration Score"; perform proficiency studies. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's in Life Sciences, Medical Technology or other scientific relevant field. * Minimum of 5 years' experience in a regulated medical device, biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment. Preferred Qualifications: * Strong understanding and experience with we laboratory methods (IFT/ELISA/BLOT) is preferred * Keen attention to details; ability to write SOPs and other technical documentation. * Working knowledge of 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485 and applicable product performance standards. * Excellent skills in written and verbal communication, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization (domestic and foreign). * Deadline driven work ethic; ability to work with varying priorities. * Well-organized, ability to work efficiently and independently with minimum supervision. * Demonstrated ability to meet all performance aspects of the job including: following work instructions, meeting attendance standards, meeting safety standards and comprehending standard operating procedures. * Proactive, planning and exhibits high level of critical thinking abilities. * Familiar with GMPs, ISO, FDA regulations/guidelines. * Have knowledge of how to operate laboratory equipment (i.e. vortex, cLED microscope, washer, pH meter, incubators and liquid handler analyzer) * Familiarity with compiling and analyzing quality control validation data * Enthusiastic demeanor with a can-do attitude. * Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).
