LPN / LVN - Behavioral Health

Job Summary:

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work a Behavioral Health contract at a great hospital in Richmond, VA. This is a full time night shift contract with a pay rate of $33 per hour. You must have 2 years of recent and relevant experience!

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement a comprehensive care plan for patients with behavioral health disorders

• Conduct physical assessments, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed by the physician

• Monitor and document patient progress, changes in condition, and response to treatment

• Provide education and support to patients and their families on behavioral health disorders and treatment plans

• Ensure patient safety through proper medication management and adherence to treatment plans

• Follow all state, federal, and facility guidelines and regulations for nursing practice and behavioral health care

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation

Requirements:

• Valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Virginia

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in behavioral health or psychiatry setting

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for behavioral health care and nursing practice
