Job responsibilities for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) include and are not limited to:
\t Assisting CNAs in performing ADL and routine care.
\t Conducting resident/patient treatments.\xc2\xa0
\t Administering medication in accordance with physician orders and Plan of Care.
\t Submitting pharmacy\xc2\xa0 orders.
\t Accurately documenting and recording all information.
\t Giving injections of medication as\xc2\xa0 prescribed.
\t Observing resident health to communicate current condition to RNs, Supervisors, and\xc2\xa0 Physicians.
\t Taking vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature and weight.
\t Basic\xc2\xa0 care, including wound cleaning and bandaging.
\t Managing IVs, starting IV drips.
\t Monitoring fluid/food\xc2\xa0 intake and output.
\t Observing and reporting resident accidents, incidents and the presence of skin\xc2\xa0 breakdowns.
\t Assisting as directed in the admissions process.
