Mary T Inc. has immediate openings for part-time and full-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) at Camilia Rose Care Center in Coon Rapids, MN. Apply today and start as early as next week!
The purpose of the LPN position is to administer and coordinate nursing care to clients to ensure an efficient and effective health care delivery system and reflect the standards of nursing care established by the organization. Responsibilities include:
Provide necessary care according to care plan, performing duties within the scope of practice.
Support the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents.
Responsible to review resident care plans initially and at 90 days for strengths and needs.
Verbally participates in resident care conferences, sharing pertinent information and resident's daily routines.
Serve as a liaison between the resident, family, physician and other health care providers regarding health care issues. Serve as a central point of contact
Provide oversight of the medication management systems and ensure that medication aides are competently trained and that medications are available, dispensed in a safe and effective manner and that the Medication Administration Records (MAR's) are accurate and complete and that all medications are current, properly stored and disposed of when discontinued.
Review care plans with the Nursing Assistant, as needed.
Provide all personal cares and focused assessments in an area that ensures privacy.
Organize routines to meet resident needs, choices and treatments.
Monitor, recognize and report changes in resident's condition and behavior at shift report.
Respond to medical emergencies as needed.
Based on program needs may be responsible for implementation, and communication of all resident assessments and care plans.
Based on program needs obtaining vital signs and submit assessment reports to physicians. Submit medication orders.
Follow and advocate healthy environment and proper infection control.
Follow resident care plan for dining, monitoring unnecessary distractions, adequate intake of food and fluids and ensure that resident has a clean appearance after meals.
Ensure documentation is compliant with nursing standards, accurate and timely.
Respond to requests for assistance and call lights in timely manner.
May be a part of on call and weekend rotation as needed by program.
Schedule: Full-time and part-time. Morning, Evening and Overnights available!
