Come join our team of competent and compassionate professionals at Aurora Behavioral Health System. ABHS, Arizona's largest free-standing psychiatric hospital system, is currently seeking experienced LPNs. Our Level 1, acute care psychiatric facility located in Tempe is licensed to treat adults and adolescents for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency.

The LPN will provide professional nursing care to patients according to hospital policy and procedure; will assist team members in patient care needs, pass medication and provide education to patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Behavioral health: 2 years (Required)
  • Valid Arizona LPN license in good standing.
  • Must be 21 years old or older.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Meet qualifications for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

ABHS is a free standing psychiatric inpatient hospital with an outpatient program. Our psychiatric facility is licensed to treat adolescents and adults for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. We are currently looking for per diem experienced Intake Counselors for the Tempe facility.</p><p><strong>Job duties</strong></p><ul><li>Handle all referrals for services, schedules assessments, and/or refers patients to appropriate community resources.</li><li>Complete level of care assessments for clients seeking inpatient and outpatient mental health and detox services.</li><li>Admit new patients to the hospital</li><li>Complete pre-certification with insurance companies to authorize patients' hospitalization</li><li>Work with nursing, medical, and other disciplines to coordinate care for patients</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Master degree in social work, counseling or closely related field required.</li><li>Licensed in the state of Arizona and in good standing (LAC, LPC, LASAC, LISAC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT or LMFT) preferred.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of DSM-V criteria, community resources, assessment and crisis intervention.</li><li>Experience in a behavioral healthcare hospital setting is a plus.</li><li>Must be 21 years old.</li><li>Able to pass background check, drug screen, and meet qualifications for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>We offer competitive compensation and benefits.
