To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by overseeing the health status of IOP patients while implementing high standards of care consistent with the Intensive Outpatient Program office and medical policies and procedures.
The LPN utilizes superior interpersonal skills to interact with patients and families from initial contact through discharge.
Accurately completes and documents a health assessment on each new patient. Updates each patient's health assessment as indicated throughout their treatment.
Participates in the collection of CQI data through accurate and timely completion of designated measurement instruments.
Complete a medication reconciliation form upon admission of each patient. Update the patient's medication list as needed throughout their treatment.
Maintain all stock in treatment rooms as well as rotation of dated medications and supplies.
Oversee patients' self-administration of their own medications during program sessions. Assure that medications brought to the program by patients are maintained by the patient.
Assists with patient nutrition during IOP program session.
Assists the Medical Director in providing for patients' health care needs during program sessions as directed and within the scope of practice.
Maintains documentation and assessment of patients' vital signs, drug allergies and description of patients' complaints on all patients' IOP medical records as indicated.
Acts as a resource to other IOP associates in providing a quality experience and in meeting patient and family needs in the IOP setting.
Assists in use of equipment and materials in a cost effective manner.
Completes all documentation and supporting billable activities in a timely and accurate manner.
Current Florida LPN license
Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained throughout employment.
Demonstrates ability to relate well to patients and families.
Demonstrates good health assessment skills
Working knowledge of managed care
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record preferred
