LPN Flexchoice - Regional Medical/Surgical Float, System Staffing Office

Overview

This position is located in the System Staffing Office. Employees in this department agree to go to two or more Clinic locations or departments in the Dartmouth Health System.

LPN - FlexChoice Per Diem

The FlexChoice per diem program recruits and on-boards experienced, professional, per diem RNs, LPNs, MAs, and LNAs, and allows them the flexibility to design their own schedule and choose from a variety of diverse and exciting practice locations across the D-H system. These locations include DHMC in Lebanon, our affiliate hospitals - Cheshire Medical Center, New London Hospital, Mount Ascutney Hospital and Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, and their ambulatory areas

Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process - assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to facilitate continuing health care to individuals, families, and community. Identifies common and recurring nursing needs of the patient.

Recognizes the need for and performs routine office procedures and testing. Assists patients to achieve basic health care goals. Identifies patient education needs, providing instruction or referring appropriately.

Assists staff in institutional quality improvement measures and office standards of practice. Provides telephone advice to patients per physician specific protocols; refers patients appropriately. Participates in staff meetings. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of NH required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
