JOB SUMMARY: Works under the direction of a qualified professional nurse. Participates in the planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care within the objectives, standards, and policies of the department and within the parameters of his/her preparation. Cooperates with the members of the nursing and medical staff, and other clinical departments.


  • Provides direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients based on the application of scientific principles, under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.

  • Assists in preoperative, postoperative, and relevant health teaching for patients and family.

  • Shares responsibility for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans.

  • Participates in team conferences, sharing knowledge, information, and ideas among team members.

  • Prepares, administers, and records medications in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a LPN.

  • Performs more complex nursing activities as competence increase.

  • Participates in emergency care.

  • Records information concisely, accurately, and completely.

  • Identifies and utilizes appropriate channels of communication.

  • Constructively participates in appropriate committees within the nursing department and/or the hospital.

Job Objective: Under the supervision of the Nurse Account Manager, assist in identifying and meeting the needs of current customers in an effort to provide complete customer satisfaction. Responsible for building a positive working relationship with all customers by resolving issues/problems and training customer staff as needed. Attributes: * Work Ethic/Integrity – must possess intrinsic drive to excel coupled with values in line with company philosophy * Leadership – ability to lead project teams to deadlines, while maintaining strong team orientation * Relational – ability to build relationships with business unit management and become "trusted advisor" * Strategy and Planning – ability to think ahead, plan and manage time efficiently * Problem Solving – ability to analyze causes and solve problems at both a strategic and functional level * Team Oriented – ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all team members Responsibilities: * Ensure compliance with auditing medication carts externally in nursing facilities and providing detailed reports to customoers. * Act as liaison with pharmacy operations to maintain high level of service level to customers, following all service related issues through to resolution. * Respond to emerging or immediate customer issues as directed by the Nurse Account Mananger and/or Director of Operations. * Serve as a member of the eMAR start up team * Ensure compliance with pharmacy policy and procedure. * Assist the Nurse Account Manager in the training of new facility staff during start up. * Assist in data collection of new facility start-ups to ensure smooth and error free start up. * Provide assistance in pharmacy operations on an as needed basis . * Report all relevant information on customer service issues / complaints to immediate Supervisor. * Maintain customer relationships through problem solving with the goal of 100% customer retention. * Courteously respond to calls from customers, routing them as appropriate to ensure. top service levels are maintained. * Assist with administration of immunization in customer facilities as needed. * Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed. Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required, graduate of LPN program Requirements: * Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred; will consider CMA * 0-6 months of related experience for LPN canidate * Advanced computer skills to include email, Microsoft Office, and various EMR systems preferred * Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines * Ability to solve problems with minimal direction * Great attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines * Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate Work Environment: Requires commuting to nursing facilities within NE Oklahoma ( Company car provided for work travel ).
