Licensed Practical Nurses work collaboratively with members of the health care team to provide quality care to patients. Licensed Practical Nurses contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of RN/Mid-Level Provider/Physician to provide patient care

  • Prepare patient for provider, collect medical history, and take vitals

  • Office tasks such as phone triage and update chart information

  • Provide general patient care such as medication pass and injections

Basic Qualifications:

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, along with an Associate's Degree (or equivalent such as graduate of an approved nursing program)

Experience

  • Successful completion of competency base orientation program

Licenses

  • Licensed Practical Nurse in State of Michigan (LPN)

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 120 days
