Position Description

This position implements loss prevention and safety programs, overseeing and coordinating processes to minimize loss while maintaining a safe working and shopping environment. In addition, this position will train and provide mentorship around safety and loss prevention for teams of individual contributors in multiple store locations. An individual in this position may on occasion need to respond to potentially violent and/or physical altercations and will therefore need the ability to make quick, effective decisions and maintain an appropriate level of composure. Also required to audit review safety reports, conduct inspections to maintain compliance with OSHA and corporate policy safety guidelines and policies (HazMat, local and regional compliance, etc.)

Job Requirements

Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years relevant work experience (i.e., retail or loss prevention) OR Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Safety, Business, or related loss prevention field.

National certified training program (Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training).

Professional accreditation, such as LPQ, LPC, or equivalent experience desired.
2 years of experience directly or indirectly supervising employees including coaching, mentoring, directing, training, performance management, and recognition.
2 years of experience as a Manager in a retail environment.
1 year of experience conducting quality reviews/audits.

Demonstrated experience analyzing business documents (P&L, exception reports, etc.).

Demonstrated experience conducting retail investigations (has conducted multiple retail investigations).

Experience in using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.).

We are looking for a Core Public Safety Senior Staff Engineer to join our Wireless Networks team. You will be a key contributor as a subject matter expert in a multi-functional team of R&D, systems engineering, and product validation to introduce and deploy Samsung products to Wireless Operators. Role and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Experienced Subject matter expert in network solution architect/SME to support our Public Safety LTE (PS-LTE) device sales and solution development. * Responsible for development of product requirements, feature requirements, systems and performance analysis, conduct deep-dive customer sessions, new technology introduction of 5G, 4G and Virtualization. * Analyzing the customer requirements, converting then into system requirements and capturing of detail design for the development team. * Aid in product & feature performance analysis, evaluation of new product and software releases * Evaluation of 3rd party products to build product synergies. * Perform detailed analysis of call flows. * Provides expert technical support in the pre-sales process and creates compelling technical and commercial solutions in order to help achieve sales goals and business objectives. * Translates and communicates complex technical design considerations between the Samsung sales team and operator's network business. * Educate our customers on Samsung's new products and services both individually and in a team environment. * Ensures that customer commitments are achieved according to plan. * Works closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams from Samsung Electronics America and Samsung Electronics Korea to achieve successful new product roll-outs and developments. Success Criteria: Technical Acumen * Subject Matter Expert in driving the technical solutions to customer through complex organizational dynamics and technical standards. Presentations Skills * Leveraging your ability to communicate effectively with all levels of customer organization from Director to C Level. Excellence Dealing with Ambiguity * Bringing your experience in problem solving and ability to navigate complex organizations with emerging technical standards. * Ability to navigate technical aspects and options in order to find resolution of complex design and deployment plans with the customer who may have opposing idea. Skills and Qualifications Background/Experience required: * Undergraduate Degree in engineering with 12-15 years of wireless industry experience is required. Masters with 12+ years' experience is preferred. * Minimum 5 years' experience working in or with public safety, law enforcement, emergency communications, emergency management, or related federal, state or local entities. * Understanding of 3GPP systems: Core and RAN networks. * Strong knowledge in 5G /4G technologies and EMS network architecture. * Ability to travel 30-50% during the project engagements. Necessary Skills and attributes: The ability to plan, organize and prioritize engineering projects, and performance objectives. Work independently as well as in broad teams depending on work schedule. Self-drive to achieve personal and team project milestones and to complete assignments within established time frames. Accept tasks and problems/situations that differ, requiring creativity to search for optimal solutions, when only broad and general guidelines exist for solving problems. The ability to utilize implied knowledge of task alternatives and to make decisions using past experience and the guidance and/or successful experiences of others. Physical/Mental Demands: Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between more than 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable work utilizing high visual acuity, detailed numeric character distinction and moderate hand finger dexterity. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges and project management deadlines.
