What you'll do:

• Coordinates the day-to-day functions of the Pulmonary Laboratories Department as the primary role approximately 80% of the time and the remaining 20% will function as a Pulmonary Labs Technologist. When functioning as the coordinator is responsible for staff and patient scheduling, holding monthly staff meetings including agenda development and recording of minutes, procedure development, performance improvement initiatives, training, streamlining operations, monitoring staff performance and providing feedback. The coordinator is also responsible for monitoring compliance with medical center policy/procedure for moderate conscious sedation that is administered to all bronchoscopy patients. Collaborates with key physician groups and clinical support staff in program development for new procedures and services to be performed in the Bronchoscopy Lab.

What you'll need for this job:

• Associate degree

• Completion of accredited respiratory care program

• 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

• Certified Pulmonary Function Tech (CPFT)

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

• Current Respiratory Care License State of Illinois

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

• Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certified) and/or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Registered Pulmonary Function Tech (RPFT)

• Other: Registered Pulmonary Function Tech (RPFT) required within 18 months of hire.
