Put your brain to work at Garmin.We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern for our office in Lawrence, KS. In this role you'll be responsible for performing new product design and development as well as troubleshooting basic issue reports, evaluating technical cause and implementing software solutions. As part of the platform team, you will work closely with the hardware in developing low-level drivers/software to take projects from concept to production and beyond.

Other essential functions include: Gaining experience with hardware debuggers and may use an oscilloscope or logic analyzers to identify root causes that will aid in implementing software solutions

May also work with power management ICs, touchscreens, audio codecs, Bluetooth, USB, etc.Communicates status of work clearly providing visibility to supervisor or mentor

May be responsible for planning own technical work

Apply design standards and procedures to implement basic designs

Learn how to use and apply engineering tools as needed for this role

Thoroughly document work in an organized manner

Work collaboratively and professionally in a team environment with other Garmin associates to achieve goals Qualified candidates for this role will have completed coursework in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a field relevant to perform the essential functions of this job description with a minimum cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0. Other requirements include: Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Must possess relevant experience and/or training in a high level language such as C, C , C# or Java relevant to Garmins business needs

Must possess relevant experience and/or training in data structures or object oriented design methodology relevant to Garmins business need A cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5 and previous experience working in a team environment is highly preferred! VIEW JOBS 10/15/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-13T00:00 Student will be responsible to greet customers who enter the office and proceed with making their KUID card and/or other university cards for several campus offices. Office assistant will be operating cameras, printing stations, answering office phones, running errands on campus, and completing miscellaneous duties as assigned. Student hourly will also be responsible for recording work on daily spreadsheets and combining information for monthly reports. ## Required Qualifications 1. Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at KU. 2. Must be available to work between classes during the school year from 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday, with the possibility of a few weekends. 3. **Must be available to work Summer and Breaks:**work days (Monday thru Friday) between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm with the possibility of a few weekends. ## Preferred Qualifications 1. Should have excellent customer service skills. 2. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. 3. Prior knowledge of business office operations and office equipment i.e. fax, copier, PC experience is helpful. 4. Ability to multitask and work in an occasionally fast-paced environment. 5. Should be able to work well with others. 6.
