Lounge Server - Specialty Restaurant (Part Time)

Be part of our talented Food and Beverage team as Lounge Server - Specialty Restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa. Located in Greater Palm Springs, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa is completing a property-wide renovation and up-branding from Regency to Grand. Set to debut in 2024, Grand Hyatt will feature 531 newly transformed luxury guestrooms, suites, casita-style villas, and two brand new Celebrity Chef (Angelo Sosa) food & beverage venues.

Lounge Servers are responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting these food and beverage preferences. The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings. A Hyatt restaurant server will engage in casual conversation and create the restaurant experience by their style and service attributes. Other duties include:

• Processes orders, bills, and payments

• Prepares and organizes drinks and glasswares

• Attends to guests and addresses their inquiries and needs as requested

• Coordinates with bar staff to ensure the availability of all beverages

• Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the cocktail bar and other work areas

• Maintains compliance with applicable health code, dress code, and other serving standards

• Other duties assigned by management

The hourly pay-rate for this position is $16.00 with the opportunity to earn additional income through tips.

• Prior relevant experience preferred

• Knowledge of operational policies in health and safety, liquor licensing, food hygiene, and emergency procedure

• Outstanding communication skills

• Basic math skills

• Able to work late-night shifts and extended hours

• Able to walk and stand for long hours
