Lot Manager is an Operations Manager position handling the management of the lot, building, the Lot Technicians.

Tasks:

  • Leads the team of Lot Inventory Technicians to address all aspects of moving the inventory around the car lot, displaying cars per new and used car manager direction, placing marketing signs and materials on vehicles around the lot, follow-up on cleaning and/or detailing of cars for delivery to customers.

  • Decision making on all Lot Tech applicants for those applying to work at Murdock and maintaining staffing levels to serve the customer with the highest degree of customer satisfaction.

  • Communicates with Guests enthusiastically to serve their needs: engaging new guests; maintaining rapport with previous guests; suggesting all available inventory management options; managing keys for cars and loaner vehicles ; engaging customers; responding to inquiries; and recommending operational options to meet management's needs.

  • Understands inventory management in the automobile industry to keep new and used cars grouped together to support the sales teams goals of increasing sales.

  • Manages the physical inventory from adjacent lot as inventory number increase and decline with accuracy and compliance with all local government ordinances and state laws.

  • Provide training to all new Lot Techs and Detailers as needed based on staffing needs.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, book reading, online training, and professional publications to improve Operations Management skills.

  • Enhances Murdock Auto Team's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different guest requests, addressing customer feedback, and additional job duties as assigned by leadership.

Experience And Education:

Experience in Finance and Insurance with proven background customer service and people skills. Excellent communication and time management skills.

High School diploma or GED. Ability to read and comprehend automobile characteristics and technical features. Must be able to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment. Must be minimum of 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk; sit; use hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Need ability to move around the dealership. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Work is performed at a desk in an office setting and walking throughout the dealership lot.

Essential duties: * Coordinates and manages group activities and interactions with other divisions * Coordinates scheduling of personnel and project assignments * Conducts and supervise staff meetings. * Approves all accounts payable / accounts receivable for payment. * Reviews monthly PNL statements and all applicable discrepancies. * Performs revenue forecasting. * QA/QC's all specialist work. * Oversees customer service responsibilities for office. * Enforces or modifies work procedures as needed to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. * Directly supervises employees including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with HydroChemPSC's HR policies, practices, and procedures. * Participates in developing, and reviews project proposal or plan, determining time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project * Bids and/or assists in the bidding of industrial services projects. * Assists in the planning and scheduling of projects. * Reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required. * Prepares reports for management, client, or others. * Confers with personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. * Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies. * Ensures customer receives cost effective services in accordance with contract provisions. * Resolves billing issues to customer and company's satisfaction, and ensures safe execution of all services provided in accordance with HydroChemPSC safety policies, procedures, and practices. * Primary liaison between customer and HydroChemPSC operations in resolving service issues * Cultivates quality relationships laterally and above primary contact to retain clients. * Supports customers during the implementation of contracts and throughout the relationship; seeking customer feedback; taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and/or loyalty. * Performs other duties as assigned. Working Environment: * Office/field environment. Exposure to elements typically found in petrochemical, pulp, paper, power and refinery industry. Educational requirements: * High School or GED equivalent with minimum 10 years industrial cleaning experience of which 5 have been served in a management capacity. * Prefer BS degree or business discipline with minimum 5 years in a management capacity Skills and experience: * 5 years industrial cleaning experience of which 2 have been served in a management capacity. * Experience in the applicable utilization of standard/specialized industrial cleaning equipment. * Ability to efficiently/effectively schedule equipment/personnel for daily maintenance/project work. * Successfully resolve customer/employee complaints.
